American Easter weekend Recap

So sorry for the lack of posting, I’ve only been neglecting my posts because I’ve been enjoying my long (4 day!) weekend with my family friends and man! I’ve been working out harder than before and really enjoying lifting these days, probably because I get an awesome trainer to help me out… Paul… :)

We headed to get paul’s passport this friday because he leaves for costa rica in may for a bachelor party… LUCKY DUCK…. but guess who booked Vegas?! Me that’s who!

Paul and I made awesome Blueberry smoothies this weekend after my biceps and triceps work out…

Blueberry smoothies for two!

  • 2 Containers of Greek Yogurt,
  • 2 cups of blueberries
  • 1 handful of frozen blueberries
  • Protein powder 2 cups
  • 3 handfuls of Spinach
  • 6 ice cubes
  • 1/2 tablespoon of Xanthan Gum
  • 2 cups of water
  • Topped with Greek Oikos Frozen Yogurt with Hunny (this is a necessary step because it just makes the smoothies super sweet!)

My workouts this week have been AMAZING. I’m totally getting back on track. I have finally found the culprit that has been affecting my ability to complete my long runs! I had my blood drawn last week and my Iron level was at ALERT LEVEL. UH OH, no wonder I can’t run for very long. Normal iron blood levels of adult women are 30 to 126 ug/dL mine was at 3!!!! I’ve started taking iron pills this week hopefully I’ll see an improvement in my runs within the next couple weeks.Check my workout long to see what I have been up to!

Anyways, Friday evening concluded with Sushi from Coast… again.. can’t help it, it’s just so good!

Although I would love to do an in-depth post of washington D.C. I want to wait until we hear back from the marrow organization about the mans condition. I don’t want to be sharing much about the experience until Paul gives me more of an OK feeling about it. But what I can tell you is he did bring me flowers after dropping me off from the airport. I would have expected this had Paul not been on the trip with me but was totally floored considering we went  to D.C. together! He told me that he really appreciated me being there for him through this process. Of course I would! why wouldn’t I? I respect him so much more than any other man in my past and that’s because he treats me better than anyone ever has.

Its simple: Respect, Give it, Get it. :)

Yesterday Paul’s parents treated us to Wildfire during lunchtime for American Easter! Greek Easter is next week and I can’t wait to share all of my Greek traditions with Paul :)

Much Love, Ang
